The Pura Vida Youth International Leadership Program exposes academically high-performing minority youth to history, culture, and international travel in a way that builds leadership, personal identity, and belonging to a global community.

The program fosters leadership skills in academically outstanding minority youth by immersing them in transformative experiences that encourage self-confidence, decision-making, and teamwork. -
Cultural and Global Exposure
Participants gain a deeper understanding of history and culture through international travel, broadening their worldview and strengthening their connection to a global community. -
Personal Growth and Identity
By exploring diverse environments, the program helps youth build a strong sense of personal identity and belonging, equipping them to excel as global citizens.

Destination 2025: Dominican Republic
We are excited for cohort 2025 to experience the history, culture, and landscape of the beautiful Dominican Republic! This 6 day trip will offer scholars the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in a unique cultural experience.
Through our program these kids are working on and being exposed to:
